Buried in medical debt, unemployed, and stuck on my couch during the 2020 shutdowns—I found myself, like so many others, just existing.
I’d spend hours watching people live their dreams on YouTube. There was one couple I couldn’t stop watching—sailing around the world, living life to the fullest on their boat. Why couldn't that be me? I knew deep down there was more for me. I just didn’t know how to get there.
It’s a long story—maybe even a hero’s journey, if you will—but I was fortunate enough to be called out of my comfort zone in the summer of 2020. I ventured into the wilderness of Montana, and that trip changed me. Forever. It was there that I was reborn. When I came back, I didn’t just return with a new confidence—I came back with a whole new perspective on life.
I had discovered my worth, a divine purpose that transcended my struggles. I realized that I was created for something bigger. God had awakened something in me: a desire to make a difference, to share hope, and to live with eternal purpose.
Over the next few years, I watched the hero inside me come alive. I began living beyond myself, driven by the goal of making an impact in the lives of others. But here’s the thing: I’m not special. I just yielded to God and allowed His love to flow through me. I said yes, and then I took action.
Now, I wake up every day with that same purpose—to be part of something bigger, to share hope, and to help others awaken to their own purpose. It’s not about me. It’s about us—all of us, living out the mission of making a lasting impact.
Because when we choose to live for something eternal, that’s when we become the heroes we were always meant to be.
